From May 24th to 26th, the International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens (Techtextil ) opened its door to the public at the Germany-based FrankfurtExhibition Center. Known as the worldly renowned exhibition, the pageant attracted a pool of 1207 exhibitors from roughly 50 countries and regions, which hit the new high on the scale basis and therefore reinforced its role as the pilot in global technical textiles and nonwovens Industry. Chinese delegation was highly praised by all in terms of its premium products and good image.
Thanks to the leaps of domestic technical textile industry, the number of enterprises from Chinese mainland reached 58 units this year, increased by 12 percent compared to the previous year. As Mr. Wang Tiankai, vice chairman of China National Textile and Apparel Council, remarked while having the on-the-spot visit, exhibitors’ burning enthusiasm for the fair demonstrated appropriately the fast growth of the technical textile industry, and an increasingly number of domestic enterprises got improved on the production, research and technique levels, meaning that they were more willing to exchange and cooperate with the international world and explore the oversea lucrative goldmine. From the statistics of the visitors and the overall situation, the technical textile industry is gaining more strengths as well as potentialities. In the twelfth “Five-year Plan” period, technical textile industry is such a pivotal branch among the entire textile industry that needs great attention and full support.
Michael Jaenecke, brand manager of Messe Frankfurt Techtextil, regarded highly of the performance of Chinese delegation. According to him, Chinese enterprises showed their good images in this global stage without being complained on intellectual property rights. From the standpoints of both product quality and comprehensive standard, Chinese enterprises are quickening their pace to be close to the international market
The products shown in this fair included woven fabrics, coating fabrics, fibres, yarns and non-woven fabrics which were utilized in manufacturing, auto industry, construction engineering, special protection, apparel, medical care, sports and agriculture fields. Meanwhile, the products with eco-friendly, renewable, intellectual woven and low-carbon features drew wide attention and the related technology developments were on the roll. To extend the new technologies and products to new fields serves as the stimulus to whip up the growth of the global technical textile markets.
Among all the involved country and region delegations, German delegation made up of 432 enterprises flexed their muscles by the use of diversified advanced technologies, followed by Italian group with 110 enterprises and France with 107 members. China, Belgium, GB, Spain, Switzerland, Chinese Taiwan and United States also got their own stand in the top ten billboard. BASF, Clariant, Dupont, Freudenberg Vliesstoffe KG, Dornier, Oerlikon, Bayer, Invista and Lenzing were not outdone by others, bringing the innovative products and stellar technologies to visitors.
Texprocess Expo, the leading trade fair featuring the flexible material manufacturing, was launched in the same time with the Techtextil in order to improve the exhibition services, extend the industrial chains into further area and reinforce the functions of the exhibition as the trade exchange and cooperation bridge. In addition, 2011 Techtextil, Avantex and Texprocess Innovation Awards were also presented to refresh the industry to be more energetic and inspired.
