Intertexitle Shanghai Home Textiles Autumn 2011 Fair (ISHTAF) will draw its curtain from the upcoming August 29^th to 31^st at Shanghai New International Expo Center. On May 11^th, the related trade fair committee was in the press interview with China Textile, Textile and Apparel Weekly, Home Textile Times, China Textile News, China Fashion Weekly, Fashion Times and International Business Daily. In terms of the highlights, feature activities during the fair, Yang Zhaohua, vice chairman of CCPITTEX and chairman of China Association for Home Textile Industry, and Huang Chimu, director of ISHTAFgave journalists the explicit introduction.

According to Mr. Yang, the economy developed by leaps and bounds during the 11^th Five-year Plan period, and Chinese people spent much time and money on purchasing more up-scale commodities. Under this circumstance, the monotonous home textile products could neither meet the needs of consumers nor retailers. The imminent home textile fair lays strong emphasis on the idea of “ Broad Home Textile” , featuring not only the traditional curtains, bed clothes and sheers but also the decoration materials, wallpapers and carpets as well in an effort to establish a spanking new exhibition mode, namely “One-stop Purchase” . In addition, the fair will bring visitors a widen view on new trend and developing mode of channel construction, and the promotion of Chinese non-material cultural heritage.

Director Huang also gave her view of oversea exhibitors and domestic industrial clusters. The oversea groups this time cover a larger area compared with that of the previous year. A pool of oversea brands from Italy, Great Britain, Spain, and Turkey will be seen during the fair. Meanwhile, domestic home textile enterprises are not to be outdone on this international stage, bringing their stellar products and technologies together. The industrial clusters from Nantong, Shaoxing, Yuhang, Gaoyang, Tongxiang and Zhouquan also have a chance to flex their muscles. During the fair, a photo show of Chinese Home Textiles in the Past Sixty Year will also be launched.
