China National Textile and Apparel Council has awarded Jaingsu several Cotton Spinning and Yarn Dying Famous Towns, including China Famous Town of Weaving Industry-Hutang town, China Famous Town of Spandex Yarns-Jingang town, China Famous Town of Cotton Textile-Tangqiao town.

In China Famous Town of Weaving Industry-Hutang, Corduroy, yarn-dyed fabric and denim fabric have been the three main products. Knitted market and cotton yarn market in the town are main distributors of East of China area, even the whole China; In China Famous Town of Spandex Yarn- Jingang town of Zhangjiagang city, the spandex yarn industry has developed to a certain scale, accounting for 30% of the country’s total.

Guanyinshan town of Nantong city, mainly produces yarn dyed cloth and then exports them to Korea. Over the past years, their products have been a focus of attention in domestic and overseas markets, thanks to the wide range of color, style and performance. Huangqiao town of Taixing city, another example, takes denim fabric and denim garments as their core business. Although their products have not possessed high quality, they sell well some area in the third world countries. In 2005, their Textile Industry Park has been kicked off, continuing stabilizing the foundation of Huangqiao’s textile industry.
