At present, US International Trade Committee declaim that it will carry out investigation of anti-dumping on the China “polyester staple fiber”, which is the biggest case for China exporting textile to US. Wuhan Foreign Trade Commerce Cooperation Bureau approve that no local enterprise is involved.

As the important material in up-stream of textile industry, Polyester staple fiber can be blended into terylene with other materials as well as used as the stuff for sleeping bag, mattess, ski suit etc. At present, US are the biggest export market for China polyester. The news from Commerce Ministry claims that US enterprises who put forward application require posing 101.52% anti-dumping tariff on Chin. Once the application is past, China textile export enterprises will be hurt severely.

The deputy director general of Wuhan City Foreign Economy & Trade Bureau - Cao Juying said that China textile enterprises be embroiled gather in Zhejiang and Jiangsu. However, this case reflects a pessimistic prospect.

Cao Juying considers that at present, all textile & fashion industry is being adjusted because the structure of product with low added value should be perfected. Though current circs made temporary difficulties, it can accelerate the improvement of China textile& fashion enterprise in the long run.
