According to the updated statistics from National Bureau of Statistics, in May 2005, the companies with annual sales income above RMB 5 million produced 1,365,500 tons of yarn, even with the previous month. The yarn output from Jan. to May was 6.195 million tons, reflecting the 18.34% growth year on year. From Sep. 2005 to May 2006, the yarn output reached 11.4192 million tons.
