The three-day 11th China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition ("China Interdye 2011") drew to a successful close at INTEX Shanghai and ShanghaiMart on April 28. Occupying an exhibition space of 25,000 square meters, the event attracted 500 Chinese and foreign exhibitors from 14 countries and regions, as well as 13,996 professional visitors from 55 countries and regions (32,106 arrivals).
In the morning of April 26, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation president Li Yongwu, together with China National Textile and Apparel Council vice president Xu Kunyuan, cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony, which was also attended by Wang Zhuo, president of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, Li Jinbao, president of the China Dyeing and Printing Association, Yu Chen, vice president of the Shanghai Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shi Xianping, vice president of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, Xing Huilu, vice president of the China Dyeing and Printing Association, and Gu Chunting, president of Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd., as well as key leaders and representatives from the Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council of India, the Dyestuffs Manufacturers' Association of India, Korea Dyestuff and Pigment Industry Cooperative, Taiwan Dyestuffs and Pigments Industrial Association, Hong Kong Dyestuffs Merchants Association, China Knitting Industry Association, China Bast and Leaf Fibres Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association, the Ink Branch of China Daily-Used Chemical Industry Association, the Masterbatches, Organic Pigments and Textile Printing Auxiliaries Speciality Committees of the China Dyestuff Industry Association and other exhibitors.
In addition, trade purchasing groups from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam and South Korea were present at the exhibition, where they had in-depth exchanges and trade negotiations with representatives from China's industry associations and major exhibitors.
In recent years, China Interdye has always paid close attention to industrial upgrading, energy efficiency, pollutant emissions reduction, clean production and other industry hot spots. The participation of a large number of leading companies both from home and abroad, including DyStar, BASF, Tanatex, Huntsman, Yorkshire, Novozymes, Clariant, Lamberti, Bozzetto, M. Dohem, Longsheng, Runtu, Jihua, Yabang, Huali, Transfar, Dymatic, Anoky, Merida and Jeco, made China Interdye 2011 the largest of its kind around the world.
The theme of the China Interdye 2011, one of the industry's major events, was "energy saving, emissions reduction and green production". A great number of new products, technologies and concepts were launched by many exhibitors at the event, making China Interdye a real industry vane and a big stage for competition. The industry leader DyStar exhibited five new high-efficiency anti-sunburn dyestuffs, which have been well received by the market and have filled in the blanks of the world. Most exhibitors showed energy saving and environmentally friendly products as their flagship products.
