China : Textile & clothing industry flourish in Shishi

Textile and clothing is flourishing in Shishi, a small town in Fujian province of China that has attracted many investors from within and beyond its borders.
Shishi, a comprehensive reform test zone of Fujian Province, is prominently located in the Gold Triangle of Southern Fujian Province, between the historical city of Quanzhou and Xiamen Special Economic Zone.
Around 85 percent of its residents are earning their bread and butter from textile and clothing. The town also boasts famous clothing designers.
In recent years, Shishi has developed many brands, which are popular among country.
Local government also supports enterprises to set up international clothing brands.
Hai Exposition, which is held once a year in Shishi city, is not only promoting exchange between mainland and Taiwan, but also accelerating development of local clothing industry.
