The theme of the fourth annual China International Home Textiles Design will be held during China International Trade Fair for Home Textiles and Accessories which will de held at Shanghai New International Expo Centreon 28 – 30 August 2006.
 
Competition gives home textile designers exposure in a market where demand for original home textiles is rising

“Sharing One Dream” is the theme of the fourth annual China International Home Textiles Design Competition, organised jointly by Messe Frankfurt, the China Home Textile Association and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry CCPIT. The winners will be announced at Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2006 and the entries will be showcased throughout the fair held from 28 – 30 August 2006 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

The competition invites industry professionals and students of home textiles design from around the world to submit designs suitable for the international market. Entries will be accepted until 5 June 2006, after which winners will be selected by a panel of home textile experts from leading Chinese and international associations and design institutes.

The China International Home Textile Design Competition gives home textile designers the chance to distinguish themselves as specialists capable of working to international standards, and added exposure in a market where demand for original home textiles is rising. It also aims to encourage creativity and innovation in China where the home textiles industry is experiencing an unprecedented boom. In 2005, home textile imports to China soared 34% from the previous year, to reach more than US$42 million.
