Official statistics made by China Customs that China's total imp. & exp. value of foreign trade recorded U.S. dollar 226.30 billion in Jan. and Feb. 2006， increasing 26.3% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, export was 119.19 billion dollars, increasing 25.50%; while import was 107.18 billion dollars, increasing 27.4%.

And the statistics shows that China’s total export value of textile and apparel Jan. and Feb.2005 reached 16.77 billion dollars taking up 14.06% of China gross export value of foreign trade. Among them, textile export was 5.99 billion dollars, increasing 15% compared with the same period of last year; and apparel export was 10.78 billion dollars, increasing 15.6% compared with the same period of last year.
