Intertextile Guangzhou Hometextile China will be held on 18 — 21 March 2009 at Asia’s largest fairground - the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex. Participating under the umbrella of the 23rd China International Furniture Fair, which includes concurrent shows Homedecor & Housewares China, China International Outdoor & Leisure Fair and China International Ceramics Exhibition, Intertextile Guangzhou Hometextile China is seeking to promote a “Whole Home — Textile” trade event showcasing creative original designs and innovative product lines.

Comprehensive array of exhibitors:
148 exhibitors from China, Korea, Pakistan, Germany, Switzerland and the UK have signed up to participate in Intertextile Guangzhou Hometextile China. Major product areas include fabric and leather upholstery — 44%, decorative fabrics — 23%, and curtain blinds and accessories 22 % from leading international brands such as China’s Tenhai Home Textiles Industry Co Ltd, Wenhua Spirit Furniture & Fabric Co Ltd, Korea’s Dong Hyeok Co Ltd, Pakistan’s Indus Home Ltd, Germany’s EAT GmbH, Switzerland’s Testex Swiss Textile Testing Ltd and the UK’s Tom Lewis Studios Ltd and Lewis Design Consultancy Ltd. In addition, there will also be opportunities to review the latest cutting-edge printing and CAD/CAM/CIM systems as well as the space to meet and discuss with key players from innovative design and styling houses.

Industry trends symposium:
In recognising the importance in being able to successfully anticipate medium and long-term market trends as well as ongoing customer needs, Intertextile Guangzhou China in conjunction with Lewis Design Consultancy Ltd, will hold an industry trends symposium to discuss the four major home and interior trends for local, regional and international markets in 2010.

Mr. Kevin Lewis Managing Director of Lewis Design Consultancy Ltd, will extrapolate on the themes of:
· Sanctum, the shift towards holistic living and a change away from rampant consumerism.

· Greenqueen, the better understanding of nature and a respect for its wilder side, through the ability to utilise available resources to create a sustainable synergy.

· Worldclash, the discovery of harmony in the inharmonious, by successfully combining a newfound respect for the artisan in the wake of globalisation.

· Mexxity, a new bold urban landscape that reflects a new cityscape of structural poetry through architecture.

The industry trends symposium will be held on 18 March 2009 from 14:00 —15:30 at Baiyun Conference Room, Complex A, China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex.
