Cotton prices increased further this week. The Cotlook A ended the week at 63.30 cents per pound up 4 cents from the previous week’s close. On the New York exchange, the nearby contract was at 55.42 cents a pounds. In China, the cotton index jumped RMB 284 at RMB 13,622. The Karachi Cotton Association spot rate was stable at Pak Rs.2,600 per maund. In India, the firm cotton prices rolled over previous week’s number.
