Polyester filament yarn prices were strongly raised in June in India, even surging 14-16% if converted in US$ terms. Staple fiber prices less rose, by contrast. Demand was not depressed by such a jump in prices and new increases are expected for the coming weeks, in line with higher raw material costs.
