China's shipments of pullovers to the European Union surged in the past weeks in category 5 with quota prices being doubled as a result. Although EU imports are much larger than a year ago, there is no threat of embargoes at European borders. By contrast with last year, EU quotas will be fully utilized in 2007 before being eliminated on 1 January next year.
