China and Vietnam top industry concerns in 2007

The latest figures suggest that the US textile industry has continued to adjust to a more competitive worldwide environment following the removal of quotas in 2005 – helped of course by the imposition of safeguards on Chinese shipments to the US – with exports of textile products including apparel rising by 2.9% in 2006 and profits up by 9.2%.
