According to the latest data from Chinese Customs, Chinese cotton cloth export was 599 million meters in December, up 0.3% and 17.15% from November and year ago respectively. Cotton cloth import was 146 million meters, up 0.7% from November but down 11.5% year on year.

Cumulative cotton cloth export from January to December 2006 is 6.24 billion meters, up 14.62% year on year; and cumulative cloth import was 1.488 billion meters, down 4.19% year on year.
