On October 18th, 2006 International Textile Equipment Manufacturing Industry Summit was co-held by the CNTAC and CEMATEX in Beijing. Coming from Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Britain, Italy, Holland, Turkey, India, Japan and China, more than 300textile machinery experts and scholars attended the summit to change their views on the issue of cooperation and development of textile equipment manufacturing industry.

Mr. Du Yuzhou, President of CNTAC, Mr. GaoYong, Vice President of CNTAC, Mr. Edward Roberts, President of CEMATEX, Mr. Heinrich Fischer, CEO of Saurer Group, Mr. Perter Gnaegi, CEO of Rieter Group, Mr. Murata Daisuke, Vice President of JTMA and other honored guests gave keynote speeches at the summit. Mr. Zhang Yankai, Vice President of CNTAC hosted the summit.

The summit discussed various topics related to the textile industry and textile equipment manufacturing industry, ranging from management, R&D, application, manufacturing to selling. Also, the experts and scholars have paid great attention on sharing information on new theories, new technologies and new solutions in the textile industry manufacturing processing.

When giving the keynote speech, Mr. Du said that after China's many years opening-up and reform, the Chinese textile machinery manufacturers have made a lot of progress. Their R&D ability has been lifted up notably and therefore they have gradually been able to manufacture more high-tech products. He also said that China is not only a big textile manufacturing country, but also a huge market, and both domestic and oversea enterprises can find business opportunities in China. Mr. Du also expressed his hope that a win-win development would be achieved by cooperation be-tween the foreign and Chinese textile industries.

Mr. Gao introduced some figures about the Chinese textile industry at the summit. He said that in re-cent years, the Chinese textile industry, has gained a rapid growth which has never happened before. The output in the Chinese textile industry, is over one third of the global output, and the exports reached one fourth of the global exports. The Chinese textile machinery industry has been developed fast as well. The sale of the Chinese textile machinery products in 2006 may over 50 billion Yuan, and the exports may surpass one billion USD. In Mr. Gao's opinion, China will soon become the worldwide textile machinery manufacturing base in the coming future.

Italy Shines at CITME 006

European exhibition groups are still the exhibition groups with the strongest lineup this time. Thereinto, the Italian exhibition group organized nearly 50 enterprises to join in this exhibition with a 1,200 square meters wide booths. The exhibited Italian textile machinery covers the whole textile field (ranging from the spinning & weaving machine to finishing machine), which is beneficial to the visitors to appreciate the latest technology of each manufacture field clearly.

The Italian textile machinery industry ranks ahead among international market for a long time. There are around 300 textile machinery factory in Italy, employing over 22,000 staffs. The output of the Italian textile machinery industry in 2005 realized 2.5 billion USD with a two billion USD export value, which accounted for 79%of the whole production value. The Italian textile machinery enterprises are famous for their level of internationalization and the pursuit of innovation, and the dimension and number of those enterprises could be defined as one reason for the Italian textile machinery industry keeping ahead around global market. Although some of the textile machinery enterprises are small/middle size enterprises, which are a traditional and typical Italian commercial model, they still could satisfy the consumers' demand: they focus on the consumers' need at the beginning stage of equipment preparing and fixing, then they would give some suggestion according to the fiber, processing condition and experience that the concrete consumer used, and at last they could design and provide the most suit-able machine for their consumers.

It is noticeable that most Italian enterprises commit themselves to one working procedure, which could guarantee the technical specialization of products and be helpful to solve the special problem in each isolated process during the manufacture circle. Consequently, a large amount of competitive and creative companies emerge in the same market, and each design team could provide various technical solutions for one same model machinery. A perfect market of the Italian textile machinery industry is on the way, in which the consumers will have a broader range to make their choices, and find the most convenient method to solve problems without doubt.

The cooperation between the Italian textile machinery industry and China textile industry has been of longstanding. China is one of the most important export markets of Italy for many years. The expert value to Chinese market took a proportion of 17% of the total Italian textile machinery industrial production value. In the first four months of 2006, the export value to China increased for17% compared to the same period time in 2005. The knit-ting machinery exported to China ranked the first, of which the value occupied 34% of the total textile machinery ex-port value, followed by spinning machinery, (29%) and weaving machinery (26%).

Mr. Antonino Laspina, the head of the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) in Beijing emphasized that the advanced technology and high-quality after service of Italian textile machinery have contributed to the development of China textile industry for years, which could be proved by the large import volume from Italy every year. For example, China imported the textile machinery worth 420million USD from Italy in 2005, sharing 13.7% of Chinese textile machinery market. Among those exported machinery, yarn preparing machinery amounted to 27%of the total, the weaving machinery took 21%, the knit-ting machinery had 24%, and the finishing machinery occupied 15% respectively. Due to the advanced technology and superiority quality, these textile machineries have been favored by Chinese consumers, and would perform important roles in the process of modernization for China textile industry.

Pacific Group and Its New Rapier Weaving Machine

In this exhibition, Pacific Machinery (Group) Co.,   Ltd showed a new model of high-speed rapier weaving machine called PG600. As the technical engineer introduced, this newly developed weaving machine possessed independent intellectual property, and the most ad  advanced technical level in China. Controlled by~ microcomputer, this machine integrates optics, machinery and electricity together, of which the highest weaving speed of revolution could reach 650 rpm and the filling insertion rate could be over 1,200 mpm.

In recent years, during a learning process of introduction, comprehension, application and innovation, the Pacific Group has achieved great progress: the group has strengthened the self-innovation ability, made full use   of social resource and human resources, established strategic federation with scientific research organization and universities and so on. That's how the birth of PG600 high-speed rapier weaving machine could be so quickly and successfully.

Possessing the intellectual property, the PG600 Rapier Weaving Machine has already applied for patents for its essential technology. With the strong applicability of products and the high-efficiency of operation, PG600  meets the international requirement, which could be helpful to the development of China Textile Equipment Manufacturing Industry, and be meaningful to build up the competitiveness of China textile machinery in overseas markets.

KS3B-180 High Speed Warp Knitting Machine Progresses Notably

Type KS3B-180 high speed warp knitting machine has been exhibited by Changde Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. at the CITME 2006. The machine is the latest model manufactured with their independent technology, which represents the future developing direction for warp knitting machine in China. Also, compared with other warp knitting machines in China, type KS3B-180 has made much distinct progress in the design of the mechanical and electric system. With frequency conversion, servo and laser devices, its digital control technology has been greatly upgraded.

Mr. Du Yuzhou, the president of China National Textile & Apparel Council, paid much attention to the model. He asked the details about the machine at the booth and was glad to see the progress they have made in the technology improvement.

Based on the series of type KSA warp knitting machines, KS3B-180 was born. The speed of the ma-chine has been greatly lifted up that it can reach a speed of 1,800 rpm. From series of KSA to KSB, the type KS high speed warp knitting machine in China has gradually reached an upper stage from many aspects including the designing ability, the manufacturing as well as the intellectual property.
