The latest Statistics by China Customs reveal that China exported textile and apparel from January to August, 2006 surging USD 91.44 billion.

From January to August, China's gross export of foreign trade was 599.63 billion dollar, increasing 25.9 per cent year-on-year, in which gross import of foreign trade was 504.98 billion dollar, up by 21.6 per cent year-on-year, the favorable balance was 94.65 billion dollar.

According to the statistics released by the China Customs, China’s gross export of textile and apparel was 81.44 billion dollar from Jan. to Aug., 2006, taking up 15 per cent of foreign trade in total. In which the gross export of textile yarns, fabrics and its products was 31.64 billion dollar, up 18.8 per cent year-on-year and gross export of apparel and accessories was 59.77 billion dollar, up 28.1 per cent year-on-year.
