At CITME 2006, the German textile machinery specialists will demonstrate their latest developments in technology and service at the official German pavilion. In hall 2, on 2000 sqm, some 60 German exhibitors will show all the sectors of textile machines from spinning to finishing.

“In 2005 German textile machinery and asseccories amounting to 742 mill. Euro were shipped to the PR China, thus representing 22 % of our total exports. German textile machinery played a key role during the upgrading of Chinese textile plants in the last years”, explains Thomas Waldmann, Managing Director of the Textile Machinery Branch of VDMA.

Most requests in 2005 came from the knitting and hosiery market and amounted to 253 mill. Euro, followed by the weaving sector (137 mill Euro) and the spinning one (126 mill. In order to deepen this working-together with our Chinese partners, we initiated the German pavilion at CITME, offering customers and prospects a first class address to exchange information and experience,” summarises Waldmann.

The information desk of the official German pavilion will be located in hall 2. Visitors to CITME can find there the right contact for their individual demand.
