China's Textile import /export up during first half 2006

Total exports and imports of Chinese textile during the first six months 2006 give an impressive picture of the industry.
The export value was US $428.95 billion with the increase of 25.2 percent and import value stood at $367.12 billion, up 21.3 percent.
Export value of clothing and clothing accessories increased by 27.6 percent to $39.69 billion, while export value of textile yarn and textile was $22.97 billion, up 19.3 percent.
The export value of shoes was $10.21 billion rose by 16.6 percent.
80 percent of export rise value is from processing trade, of which 70 percent is from foreign enterprisers in China.
