China-Switzerland Free-Trade Talks Make Progress

China and Switzerland made progres on a potential fee-trade agreement during a fourth round of talks, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said.

The two nations discussed the garment trade, intellectual property, competition policy and technical barriers to trade during the negotiations, held Feb. 14-Feb. 16 in Beijing, the ministry in a statement posted on its website today.

Bilateral trade between China and Switzerland increased 54 percent last year to $30.9 billion, the ministry said.
