Spot market of Chinese PTA imports light

The spot market of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) imports in Chinese markets was light on January 29, and there were very few market offers.
The offer price for Taiwan stock was in the range of US$ 1,170-1,175/ton, with bids from downstream sector for around US$ 1,160/ton, and actually negotiated price was in the range of US$ 1,160-1,165/ton.
Similarly, the price for Korean PTA was quoted around US$ 1,160/ton, while downstream bids were around US$ 1,150/ton, and actually negotiated price was in the range of US$ 1,150-1,155/ton.
In North China PTA market, there were rare offers from cargo holders in the range of 8,950-9,050 Yuan/ton. There were bids from downstream sector for around 8,900 Yuan/ton and finally negotiated price was in the range of 8,950-9,000 Yuan/ton.
In East China, PTA market conditions were flat and cargo holders made rare offers in the range of 8,950-9,000 Yuan/ton, while downstream manufacturers asked for around 8,850 Yuan/ton, and rare actual negotiations took place in the range of 8,850-8,900 Yuan/ton.
