According to data released on April 28 by the Canton Fair organizers, export transactions made during the second phase of the fair totaled to US $8.46 billion, a slight increase of 2.1 percent from the 106th session.
Export transactions of the first two phases totaled to $25.56 billion, up 7.1 percent year on year. Experts say that from analysis of the first quarter, among export markets, emerging markets recovered faster than the United States and Europe.
On the other hand, most experts are concerned that the RMB may slowly and marginally rise in the second quarter, which could put a spanner in the growth rate of exports across all sectors.
