2,400 exhibitors sign up for Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2009

Now in its fifteenth year, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2009 is scheduled to open on 20 October at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre for 4 days.The event has already confirmed over 2,400 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, who will showcase on 115,000 sqm of trade space in 10 halls. “The show provides an ideal business platform for trade amongst industry professionals; and this year it will also be a major draw for attendees seeking an international platform to exchange business ideas and sustainable solutions with some of the world’s leading brands and retailers,” said Ms Wendy Wen, Director, Trade Fairs for Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. The speakers featured include: - Mr Chieh Chen, Fabric Director for Wal-Mart Global Procurement, will speak about Wal-Mart's direction in sustainability and their expectations on responsible sourcing on Wednesday, 21 October 2009 from 13:30 – 14:20. - Ms Karin Ekberg, Head of Environmental Services for adidas Group, will give a presentation on the company’s background and achievements in holistic sustainability on Wednesday, 21 October 2009 from 14:30 – 15:20. - Mr Erik Carlborg, Code of Conduct Manager for Hennes & Mauritz, will discuss the company’s code of conduct for different suppliers on Wednesday, 21 October from 15:30 – 16:20.
