International brands and China Market Summit took place in Beijing

During the CHIC 2006, International brands and China Market Summit lifted curtain on April 6th in Beijing. It’s an initial activity taking place ahead of “Fashion International Trade Show” and “International Brand and China Market Summit Forum ”, which will be held in Hangzhou during the Hangzhou Women’s Apparel Fair. The Summit is organized by Apparel Marketing magazine, Organization Committee of China International Women’s Apparel Fair and US ASAP Show Group. China Textile magazine and China Textile Network Company assist the organization. Over 200 audience attend the Summit, including media, brand apparel entrepreneurs, apparel agents, shopping mall and market supervisors.

As the biggest market in the world, China has become a most heated battle field of the global apparel brands. The Chinese brands, with a history of only over ten years, are facing the direct encounter with the international brands of tens and hundreds years. Chinese companies have realized the importance of brand culture and operation, and need to strength communication and accelerate learning and growth. The guests from China and US made speeches and discussed face to face in the International brands and China Market Summit, causing a strong shock wave to the women’s apparel show in CHIC 2006.

Hosted by Mr. Sun Huaibin, the chief editor of China Textile Magazine, the Summit analyzed the Chinese fashion market and consumption, discussed the problems occurring during the Chinese brand creation. With the theme of “how to promote the international brands that are suitable to Chinese market”, Mr. Yuan Yue, CEO of Horizon Research Consultancy Group, Mr. Li Guangdou, General Manager of Huasheng· Li Guangdou Brand Marketing Organization, Mr. Yang Da Jun, Chief Consultant of UNITED TIMES ASSOCIATES, Mr. Frank Yuan, CEO of ASAP Show Group, Mr. Ramon Gil, MD of LuKun International Co., Ltd delivered speeches. On the question of “being an agent or creating own brand”, the guests expressed their own different and novel opinions.
