Du Yuzhou:Competition of China Textile Industry is expected to Boost Up

Mr. Du Yuzhou, President of China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC), commissioner to the of the 10th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said two days ago that there are going to have 28 key technical problems and 10 key whole sets of facilities to tackle during the 11th 5-year plan in order to advance the innovation and competitive ability for China textile industry.

“China textile industry will enhance our price frame, develop our original technology and make an effective management of China brands in the coming five years. We will make multinational resource collocation, make a sufficient use of both domestic and international markets and make our research & development effectively”, Mr. Du said at the ongoing sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

He stressed that China would have our independent brands by international incorporate purchasing to strengthen our enterprises, making use of the market and manpower at home and abroad.

“More and more Chinese textile companies are willing to make international incorporate purchasing, such as Weiqiao Textile Group, Hong Dou Group, etc. Now China government is a policy to support the textile company to go abroad, which includes to provide a loan and all the companies could enjoy the policy nevertheless the company is small or big-size. President Du said.

Mr Du also said that we are going to host the third Global Textile Economic Forum in March in Beijing in order to make the textile products made in China accepted by international markets. The organizations coming from the international textile industry will attend the forum, which will allay the textile business curb, promote a win-win cooperation and understanding.

“By now there are 21 and 10 categories of textile products are restricted to import by US and EU separately, which takes up 18 per cent of our total export in textile and apparel industry. We, therefore, have to advance our adding value, create our own brands, hold more core technology as to make a choice of span industry. ” Mr. Du said. He also added that the quantity of our independent brands will be expected to get more and more and our competitive ability could be improved much more by putting in practice to tackle the key technical problems during the 11th 5-yrar plan. We can see numbers of grand and famous brands with high international competition and the product quality, creation and fast reactivity will be improved much in China textile industry.
