Turkey thanked China for its efforts to settle the textile dispute between the two sides

It is reported on Feb.19 by Xinhua that Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen met with visiting Vice Minister of Commerce of People's Republic of China Gao Hucheng and the two exchanged views on bilateral economic and trade relations.
During the meeting, Tuzmen said the Turkish side attaches great importance to the economic cooperation with China. Trade relations between the two countries have been growing rapidly and the cooperation in the economic field has scored remarkable results in the recent years.
Tuzmen said Turkey would like to work together with the Chinese government to further develop the bilateral trade relations.
He also thanked China for its efforts to settle the textile dispute between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Tuzmen expressed appreciation for China's support for Turkey's fight against bird flu.
Gao, for his part, said bilateral trade volume between the two sides has reached a high level. He also expressed willingness to boost tourism cooperation and trade in electronic and machinery products between China and Turkey.
Gao added that the Chinese side pays attention to the textile dispute and called on the Turkish side to acknowledge China's full market economy status as soon as possible in a bid to benefit from the development of bilateral economic cooperation.
Gao and his commerce delegation arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Thursday for a working visit.
