As the market demand in China for more sophisticated home textile products is growing the show has organised a series of design events to illustrate the essence of interior design from the eastern and western cultures.

A special Designer's Studio is located in Hall W1 to present an extensive range of home textile design concepts. This special area gathers 23 home fashion designers from France, Italy, Japan, Korea and UK to showcase the best designs, prints and patterns at their country.

China is a very important market and the show is the ideal platform for us to tap into this region. We will present a wide-selection of designs made from velvet, silk and other luxurious materials. By exhibiting, we hope to build more connections with Chinese buyers, especially as European design styles are becoming more popular among the Chinese consumers, said Mr. Michele Alois from Antonio alois & Figli - Compagnia Creativa, one of the exhibitors in the Designer's Studio from Italy.

World-class trend forecasters from Italy, Ms Ornella Bignami of Elementi Moda, and Mr Kai Chow of Doneger Creative Services, from the US, direct the Interior Trends Forum in Hall W2. Show attendees can gain new inspirations for their 2011/2012 collections with exhibitors' fabrics and home products.

The Cultural Heritage Zone in Hall E5 present the traditional Chinese, European and Southeast Asian textile weaving patterns and techniques, demonstrating the synergy effects of eastern and western traditional textile cultures.

Visitors can also enjoy the extra sourcing opportunities at the Yarn Expo Autumn which will be held concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles in Hall W4.
